Top 10 Stories of 2020

Our comprehensive Bordeaux En Primeur content was just one of the highlights of 2020 at JamesSuckling.com.

Last year was a year we’ll never forget for all sorts of reasons. At JamesSuckling.com we took the opportunity to push out more great wine content than ever, introducing new Weekly Tasting Reports to showcase the hundreds of wines we taste each week, new Great Value Wines reports to showcase the best value wines we think everyone should know about, and nearly 100 Zoom interviews with winemakers and owners!

The results speak for themselves – it was the busiest year we’ve ever had in terms of visitors to the site: nearly 750,000 visitors, more than 4 million pageviews and a near doubling of Premium Membership subscriptions. We also have nearly 400,000 followers on our social media channels now with Instagram taking the majority with more than 252,000 followers as of today.

We reach 5 million people per year with all of our media channels as well as our partnerships with Asian media such as Prestige in Hong Kong and China, and Noblesse in South Korea and China.

Here we list the most popular stories of 2020, as ranked by pageviews from January 1 to December 31 2020. The Top 100 Wines of 2019 story is our No. 1 story appearing above the Top 100 Wines of 2020, because it has been gathering pageviews for the full 12 months of 2020, while the 2020 story was only published two months ago.

Thanks for the support over the past year – we will continue our mission to supply great wine content through 2021 too.
