My Article: Marvellous Margaux
Dutch tycoon Eric Albada Jelgersma acquired Château Giscours in the mid-1990s and renovated the third-growth Margaux estate into one of the best names from Bordeaux. The winery is best known for such classic vintages as 1961 and 1970, but James believes its current years, particularly the 2009 and 2010, will be of even better quality—and at a reasonable price.
Below is James’ vertical tasting of the chateau’s wines from the 2000 to 2012 vintages; the 2010 vintage is also available for tasting at our Great Wines of the Wolrd event, scheduled from November 2 to 3 in Hong Kong at Four Seasons Hotel. Be sure to join us and check out the wine.
