Poderi Aldo Conterno is one of the most impressive wine estates in all of Italy—perhaps in the world. From its great vineyards in Barolo, the winery makes some of the most exquisite red wines on the planet. Its Romirasco, Cicala and Colonnello are highly sought by wine lovers and collectors. I believe that Cicala “always has an attractive freshness and firmness.” Here are my notes from the most recent vintages in a vertical tasting.
