James was asked to take part as US delegate to the 4th Culture Communication Forum (CCF) in Seoul, Korea. Organized by the Government agency Corea Image Communication Institute (CICI), the gathering is the culture and arts sister to the G-20 summit for politicians. Its goal is to promote Korea by inviting a leading cultural personality from each nation. In the lead-up to the Forum, James was interviewed by various Korean newspapers and radio stations. Here, he’s on-air with tbs eFM – Korea’s English-language radio station. The question that kept on coming back throughout his interviews was: “What is a wine critic doing at a cultural summit?”. James replies that wine is culture – a culture that is beginning to come alive in Korea.
