The Many Diverse Wonders of Argentina |马尔贝克以外的阿根廷美酒

Is it even possible to overemphasize the quality of wines coming out of Argentina? I asked myself this question in early May after I finished a massive tasting of more than 900 wines during my annual trip to Buenos Aires. Consider that two of my top three wines—Catena Zapata Chardonnay Mendoza Adrianna Vineyard White Stones 2014 and El Enemigo Cabernet Franc Gualtallary Gran Enemigo Single Vineyard 2013—aren’t even malbec! “Argentina is not only red and is not only malbec,” said Matías Riccitelli, the winemaker-proprietor of his namesake estate. “If you find the right places, you can make beautiful wines with just about anything.”

早知阿根廷葡萄酒的性价比,在品评阿根廷葡萄酒时压力格外大。这些获得90或者90+的甜美葡萄酒均价尽在10-20美元每瓶。“我们相信阿根廷是出产好喝易饮的葡萄酒产地” 阿根廷的行业人们人物,门多萨产区Terrazas de los Andes 和Chandon酒庄的酒庄经理 Hervé Birnie-Scott说道,阿根廷葡萄酒是友好的,香气馥郁,单宁圆润,余味俏丽,丝毫不拖沓,沉重。” 不沉重也不夸张,一切恰到好处,这就是阿根廷葡萄酒现有状态的真实写照。去年,单一葡萄园的出品更是值得一提的,三瓶高分酒中有一瓶便是单一葡园的出品。马尔贝克无疑证明了,自己是阿根廷土地上气候下,极其得天独厚的品种。

Producer Spotlight: Bodega Chacra |不走寻常路的千克拉酒庄

Chacra

Chacra is unusual in Argentina in that rather than focusing on the ubiquitous malbec, the winery’s emphasis is on pinot noir. Located in Valle de Río Negro in Patagonia, Chacra was founded in 2004 by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta, whose family owns the famous Tenuta San Guido, makers of Sassicaia in Bolgheri, Tuscany. Piero became interested in Río Negro when he blind-tasted a pinot noir made from an old vineyard in Patagonia.  

马尔贝克在阿根廷处处可见,可以说是阿根廷葡萄酒的代名词。以酿造黑皮诺为主的千克拉酒庄可算是独特的存在。皮埃罗(Piero)是意大利望族因吉萨·德·罗切塔(Incisa della Rocchetta)家族的一员 ,这个家族酿造了历史性的“超级托斯卡纳”开山之作,被尊为意大利酒王的西施佳雅(Sassicaia)。皮埃罗于2004年成立千克拉酒庄,这源于他在盲品的时候尝到了一款由巴塔哥尼亞(Patagonia)古老葡萄园所出产的黑皮诺,令他对內格羅河省(Río Negro)的兴趣大增。
