This week LG, the global consumer electronics giant from Korea, announced a new collaboration between James and their ultra-premium brand LG SIGNATURE. The partnership has been timed to coincide with the launch of the LG SIGNATURE Wine Cellar. James will act as a global ambassador for the Wine Cellar, alongside other ambassadors for different products including the world’s best female golfer Jin-young Ko, and Misty Copeland, the acclaimed ballerina and principal dancer for the American Ballet Theatre.
“It is great to be working with LG SIGNATURE,” said James. “I have always had amazing experiences with the brand’s premium products, and the new wine cellar is no exception.”
The Wine Cellar holds up to 65 bottles and can be set to different temperatures on different shelves. The interior is UV light resistant despite a tinted windowed door, which can also be automatically opened when your hands are full. The unit even has a convertible cool compartment on the bottom which can be customized to store meat, cheese, or side dishes. James thinks cigars might work too!
“James shares our passion for premium quality, and we can think of no one better to serve as ambassador for our latest luxury lifestyle solution,” said Kim Jin-hong, head of LG’s Global Marketing Center. “We look forward to hearing more of his professional insight into wine appreciation and his views on how the new LG SIGNATURE Wine Cellar is the best option available for storing wine at home.”
This partnership adds to a growing list of international brands that James now works with. These include Masterclass, which released James’ class on wine appreciation last year, Lalique, the glassware manufacturer from France, which offers a line of glasses called Lalique 100 Points by James Suckling, and the Holland America cruise line for which James acts as wine curator for the entire fleet of 15 cruise liners. In addition, James curates the wine list at the Nai Harn hotel in Phuket, which hosts the Best Rosé for Thailand competition each year.
Stay tuned for more news and activities with LG and James.
