Jeju Food & Wine Festival, With a Special Appearance by James Suckling
The Jeju Food & Wine Festival (JFWF ) has been held in May every year since 2006, marking its 19th anniversary this year. It will be held for 10 days at Cheju Halla University and Haevichi Hotel & Resort Jeju from Thursday, May 9 to Saturday, May 18.
JFWF is an event where top chefs from both domestic and international backgrounds gather in Jeju to showcase dishes made with Jeju’s pristine ingredients and promote the island’s agricultural and seafood, livestock products. It is also a non-profit event aimed at fostering talent by collaborating with local industries in Jeju and engaging culinary students from Jeju’s culinary schools, contributing to talent development.
JFWF aims to become a new highlight of gourmet tourism in Jeju by offering a platform for culinary culture. To achieve this, Michelin chefs will use Jeju’s ingredients to present a feast of gastronomy. In addition, world-renowned wine critic James Suckling of JamesSuckling.com will host a six-course dinner in person at the Wine Dinner Program on Friday, May 17.
