SPECTACULAR DEBUT FOR GREAT WINES OF THE WORLD BANGKOK 2022
Great Wines of the World Bangkok 2022 was the greatest fine wine event ever in Thailand. After three long years away from Bangkok, it was incredible to be back again for the event in the Thai capital, held at the stately Grand Hyatt Erawan in the heart of the city.
It was the first time our flagship tasting event has been held in Thailand, and it featured wines from 25 of the world’s best-known wine regions and key countries including France, Italy, Spain, the United States, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Australia. Thailand’s very own Monsoon Valley winery was also represented at the gathering.
More than 100 top-tier producers participated, with owners and winemakers flying in from all over the world to meet with the more than 1,800 wine lovers who attended the event as well as members of the trade, all eager to taste the latest releases of exceptional wines. It was a positive, pulsating gathering, showing that Bangkok and the wine market have both bounced back in a huge way post-pandemic.
On show were 200 superb references that the JamesSuckling.com team has tasted over the course of the past year. Many of these wines appear on the recently released Top 100 Wines of the World 2022 list or the various Top 100 country lists, including:
