GREAT WINES WORLD 2023 CONCLUDES WITH SOLD-OUT TASTING IN BANGKOK
The JamesSuckling.com Great Wines World event, held at the Grand Hyatt Bangkok on December 1, marked the conclusion of our 2023 Great Wines World Global Tour. This event made stops in Miami, New York, Seoul, Hong Kong, and Bangkok, reaching wine enthusiasts across the globe. In its Thailand edition, the event brought together an impressive gathering of 1,500 attendees, including esteemed producers, members of the wine and hospitality trade, as well as passionate wine consumers and collectors.
Taking place at the elegant Grand Hyatt Erawan hotel, the tasting presented a curated selection of over 200 exceptional wines, representing many of the best wine regions worldwide. Attendees were provided with a unique opportunity to directly connect and engage with producers and winemakers, while tasting some of the best wines currently available in the Thai market. From the prestigious classified growth Bordeaux to the captivating Napa Valley cabernets, the event encompassed an array of great choices.
Each wine featured at the event boasted a minimum rating of 90 points, and many of the producers in attendance are featured on JamesSuckling.com’s prestigious Top 100 lists. Featured wine countries included France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the United States, Chile, Argentina, Australia, and New Zealand. Among the event’s highlights was the rare opportunity for wine enthusiasts to savor a wide selection of top-rated wines that had received 98-point, 99-point and two perfect 100-point scores. Guests had the chance to experience these outstanding wines side by side.

The event provided a great platform for wine professionals and enthusiasts from Thailand and Southeast Asia to connect and network with nearly 100 esteemed producers, including winemakers and owners. Attendees were able to gain valuable insights directly from the source, engage with industry peers, and discover new releases within the world of wine.
