GREAT WINES OF ITALY NEW YORK 2023: A CELEBRATION OF THE DIVERSITY OF FINE ITALIAN WINES

Great Wines of Italy 2023 returned to New York for two days of Grand Tastings. The event was again held at The Altman Building in Manhattan, an extremely popular and well-located venue in the heart of the city. This year’s event featured wines from 14 regions of Italy; Abruzzo, Campania, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Lombardy, Molise, Northeast, Sardinia, Sicily, Trentino-Alto Adige, Umbria as well as the much loved Piedmont and Tuscany.

All of the wines featured were rated at least 92 points (with the majority scoring 95-98 points) and many made it onto the JamesSuckling.com Top 100 Wines of 2022 list. This was an outstanding opportunity to taste wines from all corners of Italy and helped demonstrate the different approaches to making wine in this great country.
