El Mercurio, one of Chile’s most popular newspapers, just published an article on the JamesSuckling.com Top 100 Wines of the Year. Translation below.
“Pinot Noir from Errazuriz in the Top 10”

Nine of the “Top 100 wines of the year”’ that James Suckling publishes every year are Chilean. James Suckling is considered the most influential wine critic in the world by Forbes magazine.
Vina Errazuriz Pinot Noir Las Pizarras 2018 was awarded 99 points and ranked number 9 in the Top 100, recently published.
Vina Errazuriz, managed by Eduardo Chadwick, has consistently been rewarded with James Suckling’s ratings, with different varietals and vintages.
There were nine wines in the Top 100 2019 ranking published by JamesSuckling.com, up from three in 2018.
This means Chile beat Spain (with seven wines), Germany (with five wines) and Portugal (with four wines). This positions Chile closer to the top quality growers in the world, such as Italy (12 wines), France (12 wines) and California (11 wines).
