1995 Gaja Chardonnay Langhe Gaia & Rey

This was a huge surprise last night during a dinner in Tuscany. This pure chardonnay is 20 years old now and shows better than most white Burgundies I have had from this vintage. It’s full and dense with so much fruit and complexity with toffee, cooked apple and stone aromas and flavors. Fresh too. Wonderful texture. Almost like a red wine. 98 points
