The top 10 wines tasted by the JamesSuckling.com wine tasting team over the course of 2019 plus the Wines of the Year for 2017 and 2018 are now available in James Suckling Wine Central, Hong Kong’s best and most talked about wine bar.

The six spectacular 100-point wines and six 99-point wines represent the very pinnacle of winemaking across the world, and include the full Top 10 Wines of 2019, selected out of a total of more than 25,000 wines tasted last year. “We are going to remember 2019 for a long time,” said James Suckling, CEO and editor at JamesSuckling.com and owner of James Suckling Wine Central. “It was truly phenomenal for great wines. It seems that just about every major wine region released great wines onto the market.”

The top 10 wines, available by the bottle or by the glass, come from Brunello Di Montalcino and Umbria (Italy), Bordeaux (France), La Rioja (Spain), Nahe (Germany), Central Otago (New Zealand), Aconcagua (Chile) and Mendoza (Argentina).

In addition, the similarly superb Wines of the Year for 2018 and 2017 are also available now by the glass or the bottle. The excellent Almaviva 2015 (Wine of the Year 2017) from Chile was selected for its intensity, structure and balance, and shows how Chilean winemakers are moving away from overdone, jammy wines to a neoclassicism with energy and finesse. And St.-Emilion’s beautiful Chateau Canon 2015, (Wine of the Year 2018) is an exquisite blend of cabernet franc and merlot showing depth and intensity and superb concentration with balance.
