James Suckling recently visited Kistler vineyards in Sonoma County, California, and had a thought-provoking tasting with winemaker Jason Kesner. They tasted wines from the 2021 vintage, which showed richness from the drought conditions but also a freshness from the climate and influence of the Pacific Ocean. In this video, Kesner tells James more about the vintage and how the coastal influence was a key factor that contributed to the "polished and refined nature" of the wines.
