Castello Banfi is well-known around the world. Its widely distributed Brunellos are a fine example of the appellation. Banfi is one of the largest vineyard holders of Montalcino, and is an example of quality and quantity going hand in hand. The winery’s restless quest for quality has made it one of the pioneers of clonal selection of sangiovese in Tuscany, choosing only the finest examples of the varietal to plant in its vineyards.
In this video, Enrico Viglierchio, general manager of Castello Banfi, explains his views on the 2010 Brunello di Montalcino. According to him, the vintage expresses true personality; the defined structure combined with the power that the wine exhibits makes it an already legendary wine. For him, it is a wine that will be talked about for many years to come.
