Domaine Muré was founded in 1935. The Muré family, who currently manages and makes wine at the estate, represents the 12th generation of vine growers in the family. They also own Clos St. Landelin, a south facing lieu-dit located in the Grand Cru Vorbourg, which is in the vicinity of Rouffach in southern Alsace.
Clos St. Landelin’s soil is made is poor with calcareous agglomerations and concentrations of iron on the top part of the hill, where pinot noir is planted.
