Tucked away between rolling hills in the town of Niedermorschwihr is Domaine Albert Boxler. The estate owns 13.5 hectares of vineyards predominantly in Grand Cru Sommerberg but also in Brand. Jean Boxler, whose grandfather gave his name to the estate, only produces white wines, as he believes that the red granitic hillsides of Sommerberg are only suitable for whites, Vendanges Tardives and Sélection de Grains Nobles.
In this video, Jean comments on the qualities of the Grand Cru Sommerberg and how these translate into his wines. Boxler is all about attention to detail and precision, and the Domaine's wines are a true testament of this.
