Interview with Lamberto Frescobaldi

I asked Florentine vintner Lamberto Frescobaldi to come over to my house in Tuscany for a simple dinner in the kitchen of roasted chicken and salad and a discussion of the two recent great vintages for Brunello di Montalcino: 2007 and 2006. His Brunellos from his estate in Montalcino – Castel Giocondo – are both excellent. We agreed to disagree. Enjoy the video.

I love it that you have to split hairs on to great vintages. The 2007 is on my radar: can't wait to taste! Love the candlewax build up going on there. Looks like some good evenings shared at that table (and some nice bottles lingering as well). I look forward to reading more from you James on 2007 Brunelli. Saying tuned.
