Great Wines of Italy USA returned with a bang this year with more than 4,000 people attending and 240 wineries. It was the biggest premium Italian wine event in America! Cities included Beverly Hills, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and Miami.

The weather was dismal but the wines more than made up for it. My trip back home reveals how Napa is finally making wines that winemakers themselves would like to drink.

When talking about the best American wines, we can no longer limit out ourselves to Napa, or even California. This year the wines on our list are as diverse as they are delicious.
