Germany, Spain, Italy and Australia were front and center on our tasting trail in August as we rated nearly 2,700 wines from the four countries out of the 3,199 bottles in total we tapped into during the month. It was also one of our biggest months ever for 100-point wines, as we uncovered an even 10 perfect scorers.

July was a huge tasting month at JamesSuckling.com, with a record 4,016 wines rated from 10 countries and five perfect scores, as we head toward tasting more than 35,000 wines for the year.

We tasted nearly 3,000 wines in June as we head toward another record number of wines rated at JamesSuckling.com in a single year, and many of our top scorers during the month came from California.

Our monthly tasting report for May comprised more than 3,000 offerings from a variety of producers across 21 countries, but it was the old reliables that topped the charts once again, led by Portugal and its rare tawny Ports.

The March tastings at JamesSuckling.com covered nearly 3,000 wines from 13 countries, including outliers like Israel and even Brazil, but it was Argentina that really popped our corks.

February was a month of adventure for the JamesSuckling.com tasting team, with our editors road-tripping it around various parts of the globe to bring you the best of what the wine world has to offer, tasting nearly 3,000 wines.

January at JamesSuckling.com was a parade of tradition with a taste of South America and China thrown in, starting at ground central for great wine, Bordeaux.

December at JamesSuckling.com meant shepherding out the last of our country Top 100 reports, but we still managed to taste nearly 2,000 wines from 18 countries. And it wrapped up an awesome tasting year for us, when we managed to get through a record 33,000-plus wines and bring you the best of what the world has to offer.

We rated 2,321 wines during November from 14 countries, bringing us to well over 30,000 wines tasted during 2022 with December still to go. Check out all our favorites from the month here...
