Following a sell-out success last year, Great Wines of the Andes 2018 USA will return to Miami on October 5 at EAST, Miami. Come discover the beauty of the wines from Chile and Argentina at this walk-around grand tasting. You’ll get to meet with more than 70 of the very best producers and taste their latest releases. From malbec and cabernet to pinot noir and chardonnay, all the featured wines are handpicked by James Suckling and have achieved 90 points or higher, including two perfect 100-pointers. The quality of winemaking is better than it has ever been. There will be more than 140 wines to sample. Earlier in February, James and his team of top tasters took off to Chile and Argentina for the sixth time in four years and tasted more than 2,300 wines. The message is very clear to us: a large majority of the wines that are being produced now is of outstanding quality.
The award-winning Australian recording artist Surahn Sidhu will be providing a sleek mix of Cuban funk and regional rarities together for the event. A guitarist, bass, and vocal for Empire of the Sun in the past, Sidhu is often on tours across the globe. Aside from sweet beats, there will also be a selection of empanadas and cheeses served at the tasting.
Early bird tickets are now on sale at a special price of US $65 only (regular price after Sep 9: US $75). All members of the wine trade are invited to register for the trade tasting session, and this applies to wine importers, distributors, retailers, restaurant owners, sommeliers, hotel and F&B directors.
