The 2009 vintage is never going to be considered a great year for Brunello di Montalcino; however, some exceptional wines were made. Three Brunellos in particular are must buys: two from the tiny biodynamc grower/producer of San Polino and one from Altesino, which is its single vineyard wonder, Montosoli. Luigi
