The winner of the JamesSuckling.com 2013 Harvest Video Competition is Pessac-Leognan's Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte. It's not spectacularly produced like some of our other entries this year, but it's by far the most informative and rigorous in what concerns the 2013 vintage in Bordeaux.
Owner Daniel Cathiard and technical director Fabien Teitgen explain the difficulties so many French vintners struggled with this year, but they also illuminate us with hope in such a climatically difficult year.
Ultimately, given its documentary style, we felt this was the video that should win the competition as it seems closest to our own videos on JamesSuckling.com. The estate wins 6 Lalique James Suckling 100 Points Universal Wine Glasses.
