The Fattoria Carpineta Fontalpino estate is located in central Tuscany in the surrounding area of the historical town of Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the heart of the Chianti Classico region. It is a beautiful estate surrounded by rolling hills covered in forrest as well as cultivated ground. At Carpineta Fontalpino the predominant variety is Sangiovese, however significant portions of the vineyard are also planted with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The estate is owned by Gioia and Filippo Cresti. In this video, Gioia, who is also the winemaker speaks about what is unique about this part of the Chianti Classico and what special attributes this area transmits to the grapes.
