2006 Brunello di Montalcino Documentary

After tasting close to 140 Brunello di Montalcinos in Tuscany from the heralded 2006 vintage, I set out with director James Orr to find out why the vintage was so great. I wanted to know more than what was simply in the glass. I interviewed wine producers in their cellars and vineyards. I spoke to wine shop owners in their stores. I even stopped in and spoke to a friend who owns a local restaurant near my house in Il Borro, Italy. See what they all had to say about the magic of the 2006 vintage for Brunello di Montalcino in this 16-minute mini-documentary.

Wonderful documentary! I don't know that much about Brunello di Montalcino, but dying to learn more. For example, I learned something which is important: "BIG FOOD FOR BIG WINE." Learned about the Brunello vineyards and vineyard management. Learned about what to eat with Brunello. This kind of informative video makes me want to go out and buy some 2006 Brunello and take to an italian restaurant for dinner! I'm hoping there will be other video documentaries to come (e.g., Piedmont, Bordeaux, etc.).

After BB in NYC, and after meeting and seeing some of these great professors of Montalcino there and here online, I am falling in love with Brunello.
