The second edition of the Great Wines of the World 2021 Masterclasses & Tastings is just days away, and will build on the success of the Spring Edition, with more wines from even more top wine-producing countries. The kickoff Spring event took place from March 22 to April 17, featuring 70 wineries from five countries and attracting more than 900 wine trade professionals and wine lovers. The Summer Edition, running from May 18 to June 12, will feature nearly 70 wineries again, from 10 countries, and 115 wines that have scored extremely well during JamesSuckling.com tastings. The wines are rated 95-98 points on average, and include several 100-point wines.
“Many of these wines are available for tasting for the first time in Hong Kong, and even in Asia, here at the Great Wines of the World 2021 Masterclasses & Tastings,” said James Suckling, editor in chief of JamesSuckling.com. “We are proud to be able to debut many of these wines here in Hong Kong, and also present other great wines that come from many excellent producers around the world. It has become an even greater challenge than usual to taste the top latest releases, so these tastings are designed to ensure people can still do that.”
As part of the tastings, attendees can also view exclusive video tasting notes sent in by the winemakers and winery owners. You can view these here.
A guidebook also features profiles of all the participating wineries, as well as their wines with scores and tasting notes – download a copy here. You can also follow daily insights into the tastings via the James Suckling social media platforms, Instagram and Facebook.
