In January James paid a visit to Pym-Rae, a new project by Bordeaux legend Alfred Tesseron. In 2016 Tesseron acquired the 640-acre Villa Sorriso estate in Napa Valley. The estate was formerly owned by the late actor Robin Williams and features Pym-Rae vineyards, which have 30-year-old vines of the type of Left Bank Bordeaux grape varieties that the Tesseron family is familiar with.
This year, in 2020, they launched the first vintage of Pym-Rae, the 2016. Although Robin Williams never made wine from the estate, in Tesseron’s hands the potential of Pym-Rae is being realized for the first time. Watch the video to find out more.
